Description
This is the foundation course for the student to become a fully trained Marine Mammal Observer.
You will be taken though every aspect of the job and all the skills involved in becoming a fully trained MMO.
Confidence as an MMO comes from the knowledge that you are well prepared in your topic and the resources you’ll use to to work in a demanding environment. Confidence is also understanding that an effective MMO is someone who presents in a professional manner, is effective at communicating and has developed an awareness of the skills involved to be accurate and precise in all aspects of the job.
In this course we would like to share with you our combined experience in the Marine Mammal and regulations sector working with collective skills. Our focus will be on the legal and more practical aspects of MMO working and we would like to draw on some of the skills and knowledge we have gained through our respective careers to offer you some practical techniques, approaches, hints and suggestions that you may be able to apply to your own skill set.
